This 1906 Series $20 Gold Certificate, known as a "Horse Blanket" note for its larger size (7_" x 3_", roughly 30% bigger than modern currency), features a portrait of George Washington on the front and is offered here in Very Fine (VF) condition. As one of the final large-size Gold Certificates issued, it was part of a series produced between 1863 and 1933 and was originally redeemable for its face value in gold coin, serving as the gold-backed counterpart to the U.S. Silver Certificates.
